Welcome! My name is Gloriela Saborio and I am your Pre-Arrival Concierge. I’ll assist you in preparing for your stay with us at Villa Punto de Vista in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica.
This page is designed to introduce you to the villa and Manuel Antonio, and should answer most of your questions. Please feel free to contact me with any additional inquiries, or to request assistance with arrangements for your stay. My services are completely complementary.
The villa is located in Manuel Antonio on the Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica (not to be confused with Puerto Rico!). To pinpoint our specific location, please see this Google Map of the villa.
Costa Rica is easily accessible via commercial flights or private jet into Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO), also known as the San José airport. Many U.S. cities – New York, Miami, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Charlotte, and more – have direct flights to Costa Rica. International cities, including Toronto and Madrid, also offer nonstop flights to Costa Rica.
You will need a passport to visit Costa Rica. A Visa is not required for U.S., Canadian or EU visitors. Your passport must be valid for at least six months from your date of entry into Costa Rica. Passports must be in good condition, with no rips or tears.
Once in Costa Rica, you’ll have several options to travel to the villa:
Most of our guests hire a luxury private van to travel to the villa. Upon arrival, an attentive chauffeur will meet you at the airport; your driver is easily identified, as s/he will display a sign with your party’s name. We arrange only for transportation in a late-model, air-conditioned van with an insured and bi-lingual driver. More than a point A-to-point B transfer, your driver is truly a private chauffeur: stop along the way for a photo-op, a snack or full meal, or even to visit a park, scenic viewpoint or other attraction!
If you’d like to book luxury ground transportation, I’m happy to arrange it on your behalf.
You may also opt for a short flight between San José and the villa. Flights to the Quepos Regional Airport, just 12 minutes from Villa Punto de Vista, are available everyday through local commercial airlines Nature Air and Sansa Air. Upon request, I can also arrange a private flight or helicopter charter at any time you desire.
**We do not recommend renting a car.
This will add complexity to your vacation. Not only are there potentially long lines and stacks of paperwork involved in renting a car, but Costa Rican roads can be difficult to navigate with little signage and potholes aplenty. In other words, though renting a car may seem convenient, many of our guests report it as stressful. Once at the villa, we’ll easily and conveniently take care of all your transportation needs, via private vans, taxis and buggy service.
Villa Punto de Vista is a 10-bedroom estate reserved exclusively for your group and fully staffed for the entirety of your stay. The villa manager/butler, Oliver, is your onsite concierge and will assist you with anything you need, from ordering in groceries, supplies and food, to recommending great local restaurants.
We recommend booking your tours and services (e.g. spa & massage, yoga, canopy tours, etc.) in advance. (This is a complementary service that I can arrange on your behalf.) Oliver is also available to book tours once you are at the villa.
Our friendly staff consists of housekeepers, who will keep tidy both your room and the villa’s social areas, and our maintenance/security personnel, who keep the villa running smoothly.
A full, daily breakfast is included with your stay and serves up eggs-to-order, waffles, pancakes, and local dishes like sweet plantains and rice & beans. Breakfast’s coup de grâce is the villa’s signature passion fruit champagne mimosa – the perfect way to start your day! Yessenia, our breakfast chef, will see to it that you don’t leave the villa hungry before exploring beautiful Manuel Antonio.
