The most memorable and high-touch stay at Punta de Vista!
We just returned from the best family vacation we have ever taken at Punta de Vista. Our experience began with warm, professional and prompt responsiveness from Sabrina who helped us book the stay after answering many questions about accommodations for my elderly father and other logistics. Once booked, Gloriela began planning activities for the 12 of us from transfers from our hotel in Arenal to daily adventures including kayaking, horseback riding, hiking and dinners. She took into account the various levels of mobility and booked appropriate and fun activities for us all. Once we arrived at the villa, we were stunned at the beauty of the home and the setting. We enjoyed seeing sloths and monkeys from our balconies and even had monkeys approach the pool and breakfast area on a few occasions, much to the delight of the children. David has designed accommodations that are luxurious with stunning views at every turn, with spaces for family dinners, quiet reading, movie watching and even spa services. The villa was kept spotless with daily housekeeping and fresh linens and towels. The real differentiator at Punta de Vista, however, is the level of service provided by the team. They deserve so many accolades for their genuine care and obvious delight at serving guests. Every touchpoint we had with Raoul, Erick, Jackson, Harold, Francisco and Jossue was lovely, and we could tell that they approach their jobs with pride and from their hearts. We appreciated the small touches like the cold towels on arrival and finding sloths to show the kids, but were really blown away and touched by all of the surprises from them, which included extravagant fruit trays, live entertainment and a beach bbq. We all remarked that we might never be able to create a vacation like that again together as a family. Throughout our entire stay, the team was welcoming, accommodating, generous and warm. We hope to return to Punta de Vista in the future and know that when we do, we will be greeted with the highest levels of hospitality and warmth. Thank you to David, Sabrina and Christian!
a once in a lifetime experience
This villa is so incredible, the living space and the views are outstanding! The staff is so friendly and helpful, they made our experience so wonderful. The villa is a short walk to a beautiful beach which was awesome. I would highly recommend staying here - it's a once in a lifetime experience!
A Magical Experience
I honestly don't know where to start with my review because everything was that amazing. We stayed at Villa Punto De Vista for five nights and even had my wedding while we were there. Every single person we encountered was nice, happy to be there, and happy to help in any way. Gloriela set the tone early with pre-arrival concierge helping me plan everything from our private chef dinners every night to surprise salsa dancing lessons to couples massages. She was so knowledgeable and patient as I changed my mind often and asked thousands of questions (i'm sure some questions multiple times). She helped me arrange a private transfer from SJO so that when we got through customs, there was a sign with my name and the villas name on it. She even called the driver when he picked us up to talk to me and confirm everything. It was about a 2 hr and 45 min scenic drive and we even stopped at a bridge to look at crocodiles. When we arrived into the gates of Villa Punto De Vista, my breathe was taken away--IT WAS REAL! I had looked at it so many times online but nothing compares to it in person. Louis greeted us the second we stepped off the bus and was quickly followed by the rest of the staff. They greeted us with champagne and cold towels as they unloaded our luggage for us AND then put our luggage in our coordinating rooms. Louis then gave us a full tour of the villa and explained how everything worked. David really thought of every detail when he designed the villa. From the thoughtfully placed artwork to the softest towels I have literally ever felt, he put a lot of love into this villa. After we toured we all got ready for dinner which was catered each night by Wow Chef Services. There's a reason their name is what it is because every bite of food they prepared us we were stunned. It was the BEST food we have ever had! And the villa staff were there to help serve drinks the entire dinner. We had a mariachi band play at dinner and then had salsa dancing lessons on the rooftop. Josué was so much fun and kept the shots of tequila coming. The first night really set the mood for the whole trip where we had the time of our lives. The next morning, the villa staff prepared the best breakfast with a wide variety to suit every palate and the most delicious verde sauce that we kept calling the "magic sauce". There was every mimosas. After breakfast, we asked Louis if there were any beach chairs or towels we could have and how we could get them and his response was, "just put your bathing suits on and give us 30 mins". When we were all changed, he drove us down to the beach where chairs, towels, and a cooler of alcohol was ready for us in a secluded area. We were so excited and in disbelief the level of service we were experiencing. Wow Chef Services even brought us pipa frias, burgers, fruit salad, and homemade brownies to the beach. These weren't your average burgers and brownies though, they were out of this world! Preparing for the wedding, the villa staff were so accommodating and eager to help in anyway. They made the entire day so smooth. The wedding day started with Wow Catering bringing us a cart of fresh made pastries, croissants, avocado & egg toast, french toast shooters, champagne, coffee, the works. I felt so special. And in case you are looking for a wedding planner, David put me in touch with my wedding planner, Susan La Reau Events, and she is PERFECT! The day after the wedding, the villa staff all congratulated us and made us feel so special. We later had a couples massage on the rooftop and it was hands down the best massage we have ever had. We had a traditional Costa Rican costado lunch by the pool with cocktails, champagne in the hot tub, swam in the rain while watching monkeys, and had the most mouth watering chocolate lava cake at dinner. It was a truly magical experience I will never forget. The villa staff is so sweet they even surprised my mother-in-law with a birthday cake. Some of us definitely cried in the morning during our last breakfast. We will never forget our trip to Costa Rica because the staff and villa left such a wonderful lasting impression. All of our friends are even trying to figure out a time to rebook for next year! I am so thankful for David and every single staff member for creating the best week of my life. Best Vacay Ever
Hands down best place for vacation ever! This was our second visit at Villa Punto de Vista. The staff were everything we could ever ask for. Jossue and Diego didn’t miss a single beat! Needless to say, we’ll be back as much as possible! Love our home away from home!
Incomparable!
I’ve truly never experienced a stay like I had at Villa Punto de Vista! The property itself and amenities were as good as it gets. I was blown away when I arrived. I really miss the view from the perfectly heated at all times pool. The real standout of the experience for me was the staff. Everyone working there is so genuinely kind and helpful. The definition of going above and beyond! I really enjoyed meeting them. I’d recommend staying here to anyone!
