An Intimate Wedding
Villa Punto de Vista in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica is a splendid place to gather with family and friends. We came down for an intimate wedding and the staff and service vendors my daughters chose were welcoming, professional, and added so much to our experience. Everyone still has a smile on their face a week later, and I don’t expect it to go away any time soon. Giovanni at Wow Chef Services created great dishes every day. Costa Brava Weddings & Events did an exceptional job with the flowers, and they could have done so much more if we needed it. Kevin Heslin & John Williamson were professional, on time and took amazing photographs. The house managers, Luis & Jossue went above & beyond to help create memories of a lifetime. David has created a house and staff that will exceed your expectations no matter what walk of life you arrive from. Villa Punto de Vista is Pura Vida.

it’s literally going to take your breath away!
Like others, we fell in love with Villa Punto de Vista from afar, booked it sight-unseen, and were subsequently blown away when we actually arrived. My husband and I literally looked at each other and asked, “What did we do right in a past life to deserve this place for our wedding?!” If you’re worried about PDV living up to the photos/hype – don’t be, it’s literally going to take your breath away!
You can’t make a mistake while assigning the 10 bedrooms to your guests. Every room is gorgeous and you’ll see beautiful views and spot sloths/monkeys/toucans/oh my! from every corner of the property. All your wedding guests (we had 70) are going to love the venue, suddenly become instagraming fiends, and tell you, “Costa Rica wasn’t on my radar at all but OMG I love this and don’t want to leave!” PDV is pure magic – from the architecture, to the views, to the perfect-for-a-killer-party layout.
What makes the Villa magical though is the owner, David, and the staff: Ollie, Josue, Yessenia, Jaime, Jose, and Rosa. They are the secret sauce to PDV! They always have you and your guests’ comfort at the forefront of their minds. Weddings bring out the best, but also the weird/stressful & having such a fantastic team at our backs was amazing.
PDV is the perfect venue – private, gorgeous, great location, and no noise restrictions or closing times on the main floor. When we first researched the Villa, it looked so perfect & luxurious that we didn’t think it could fit into our budget. We live in Philadelphia, PA and were struggling to find reasonably priced venues that we liked at home. I’m so glad that I reached out to David and our wedding planners, Tropical Occasions for more info!
My only regret is that we didn’t stay longer! No-one was quite ready to leave by the end. David and his team make this place absolute magic & we hope to return for an anniversary in the years to come!

Words cannot express how amazing this Villa is. Read all 215 reviews and you will not find one less than 5 stars. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. We were there for our daughter’s wedding along with 25 other guests and family and it could not have been more perfect. What made it perfect was: the staff, the staff, the staff! The Villa’s beautiful, natural, lush setting, unique architecture and comfortable accommodations…all that wouldn’t be as wonderful without the unparalleled attention of the outstanding staff – Luis, Joseue, Rosita, Gabriel and all the others pampered us beyond our expectations. Villa Punto de Vista was a dream, one I hope to have again!

Beyond Expectations!
When my wife and I started planning our Hindu-Muslim wedding in 2018, the first step was a venue. We dreamt of a destination wedding in a beautiful location and a grand house that would be the center of activity for a 3-day affair. We searched within the United States and internationally. We stumbled upon Punto de Vista one day and fell in love with the idea of having our wedding there. In 2019, that dream became a reality. The entire experience was beyond expectation, the staff is genuinely friendly and kind. The breakfasts are spectacular, the venue is world class, the views are unmatched. Our family stayed with us in the house and our wedding events were held from different locations within the house. Every guest was in awe of the house and so were we. We cannot thank David and the staff enough for hosting us and assisting us to make our wedding such a memorable experience for everyone involved. I don’t think I can fully articulate how amazing it is to wake up to mimosa’s and breakfast with a beautiful sunrise on your wedding day, or how great it was to sneak to the pool or down to the beach between wedding events. Also, the pool party after the reception was an amazing end to it all! Our dream is to go back someday, hopefully we see you all soon!

A Magical Experience
I honestly don’t know where to start with my review because everything was that amazing. We stayed at Villa Punto De Vista for five nights and even had my wedding while we were there. Every single person we encountered was nice, happy to be there, and happy to help in any way. Gloriela set the tone early with pre-arrival concierge helping me plan everything from our private chef dinners every night to surprise salsa dancing lessons to couples massages. She was so knowledgeable and patient as I changed my mind often and asked thousands of questions (i’m sure some questions multiple times). She helped me arrange a private transfer from SJO so that when we got through customs, there was a sign with my name and the villas name on it. She even called the driver when he picked us up to talk to me and confirm everything. It was about a 2 hr and 45 min scenic drive and we even stopped at a bridge to look at crocodiles. When we arrived into the gates of Villa Punto De Vista, my breathe was taken away–IT WAS REAL! I had looked at it so many times online but nothing compares to it in person. Louis greeted us the second we stepped off the bus and was quickly followed by the rest of the staff. They greeted us with champagne and cold towels as they unloaded our luggage for us AND then put our luggage in our coordinating rooms. Louis then gave us a full tour of the villa and explained how everything worked. David really thought of every detail when he designed the villa. From the thoughtfully placed artwork to the softest towels I have literally ever felt, he put a lot of love into this villa. After we toured we all got ready for dinner which was catered each night by Wow Chef Services. There’s a reason their name is what it is because every bite of food they prepared us we were stunned. It was the BEST food we have ever had! And the villa staff were there to help serve drinks the entire dinner. We had a mariachi band play at dinner and then had salsa dancing lessons on the rooftop. Josué was so much fun and kept the shots of tequila coming. The first night really set the mood for the whole trip where we had the time of our lives. The next morning, the villa staff prepared the best breakfast with a wide variety to suit every palate and the most delicious verde sauce that we kept calling the “magic sauce”. There was every mimosas. After breakfast, we asked Louis if there were any beach chairs or towels we could have and how we could get them and his response was, “just put your bathing suits on and give us 30 mins”. When we were all changed, he drove us down to the beach where chairs, towels, and a cooler of alcohol was ready for us in a secluded area. We were so excited and in disbelief the level of service we were experiencing. Wow Chef Services even brought us pipa frias, burgers, fruit salad, and homemade brownies to the beach. These weren’t your average burgers and brownies though, they were out of this world! Preparing for the wedding, the villa staff were so accommodating and eager to help in anyway. They made the entire day so smooth. The wedding day started with Wow Catering bringing us a cart of fresh made pastries, croissants, avocado & egg toast, french toast shooters, champagne, coffee, the works. I felt so special. And in case you are looking for a wedding planner, David put me in touch with my wedding planner, Susan La Reau Events, and she is PERFECT! The day after the wedding, the villa staff all congratulated us and made us feel so special. We later had a couples massage on the rooftop and it was hands down the best massage we have ever had. We had a traditional Costa Rican costado lunch by the pool with cocktails, champagne in the hot tub, swam in the rain while watching monkeys, and had the most mouth watering chocolate lava cake at dinner. It was a truly magical experience I will never forget. The villa staff is so sweet they even surprised my mother-in-law with a birthday cake. Some of us definitely cried in the morning during our last breakfast. We will never forget our trip to Costa Rica because the staff and villa left such a wonderful lasting impression. All of our friends are even trying to figure out a time to rebook for next year! I am so thankful for David and every single staff member for creating the best week of my life. Just amazingly perfect
Just wanted to thank all the staff at Punto de Vista. Everything was amazing and even more than we could have imagined. Our family had an amazing time and everyone that helped us will hold a special place in our heart. We could’ve not picked a better place for such an important moment. Luis, Jossie, Rosita, Gabriel, Jose, Jackson and the rest of the staff. They truly went above and beyond.

Absolutely everything you hope for and more!
The villa itself is amazing; just like the pictures portray. The details of the brick walls, wood flooring, etc. are unbelievable. But what topped even the resort and surrounding landscapes by far was the staff; Luis, Jossue, and their coworkers were amazingly accommodating, friendly and funny! Every need we had was promptly met, and when we left, we were leaving new friends behind.
